Ty Coughlin Reverse Funnel Pyramid Scam

Look-out, folks, head’s up! The Pyramid Scheme is back! It’s cruising Hawaiian beaches and making time on our internet. Ty Coughlin calls his brand of pyramid scheme the Reverse Funnel System, instead of The Gifting Circle, Women Helping Women Program, Spirit of Giving, The NASCAR Club, Airplane Scheme, Share the Wealth, etc. But if it squawks like a seagull, dives like a seagull, waits for refuse like a seagull…then it’s a seagull. (No offense to seagulls.)

Now for some relevant history on the pyramid scammer of all time: Italian immigrant, Charles Ponzi (1882-1949) was the first to have a field day using the pyramid scam to rip-off half of Boston. When law enforcement came knocking, though, Ponzi wound up in a U.S. prison for about 12 years. In his last interview from a Brazilian charity hospital bed, Charles Ponzi had this to say about the wild Boston escapade he had masterminded: Even if they never got anything for it, it was cheap at that price. … I had given them the best show ever staged in their territory since the landing of the Pilgrims! It was easily worth fifteen million bucks to watch me put the thing over.

Personally, I don’t think Reverse Funnel System is worth 50 cents, much less the 50 dollar application fee. I’ve cruised many of the Funnel’s web sites, waded through tons of Funnel pap and gotten a Reverse Funnel neck-ache. It mostly boils down to this: There’s an ‘opportunity’ to spend anywhere from $50 dollars to $10,000—just for the privilege of wrangling some money from others. The mastermind, Ty Coughlin (a 29 years old, single, athletic, Capricorn networker) stands almost five feet three inches tall and probably still blames his parents for that. I’m not kidding. On second thought, don’t waste your time. Here’s the Reverse Funnel poop in a nut shell—using Ty’s own words, of course: Reverse Funnel is not a business, not an investment, doesn’t sell a product and is not a company with principals it is a private sharing group, an exclusive activity, an expression of kindness…”
